The Key to Your Company’s Productivity
According to the Gallup Organization, no single factor predicts productivity for an employee more than the relationship with his or her immediate supervisor. If you want to increase your productivity, be sure your organization has great first-line supervision.
The key to productivity is not found in the executive suite. It’s found out in the field, at the reception desk, within a call center, at the cash register or even on the sales floor. That’s where your company’s work gets done, where customers are experiencing the best (or worst!) your company has to offer. This is where critical decisions are made that affect your customers. The company that invests in training their supervisors gains a true competitive advantage!
With Successful Supervision©, Training Links offers the essential training needed to help individuals make one of the toughest transitions of their career…the transition from individual contributor to manager.
Successful Supervision focuses on the knowledge and skills to ease this transition.
New and experienced supervisors will learn:
- Competencies needed to effectively manage others such as planning & organizing; time management; communication; delegation; coaching & motivation
- Self-assessment of these competencies to help them focus on what they do well and what they can strengthen
- Their individual behavioral style (and how to read others’ behavioral styles) through the use of the DiSC® instrument (see more about DiSC®, below)
- How to leverage their strengths and increase awareness of their challenges as supervisors based on their individual behavior style
Successful Supervision lays the groundwork for creating a strong front line that leads to a strong bottom line. Don’t just pay lip service to the idea of strong supervision within your company, invest in your most important resource…your people, and the ones who directly impact the customer!

Assessment Supports Supervisors’ Growth
Good supervisors know themselves. They know their strengths and their weaknesses. This “knowledge of self” builds stronger communication in all directions—with subordinates, superiors and teammates, and contributes to stronger management throughout the organization.
DiSC®, an assessment tool which has been used by companies for over 30 years, helps individuals gain greater insight into their strengths and weaknesses by enhancing self-awareness and understanding of one’s personal, behavioral style and the styles of those around them.
The DiSC tool has many applications in learning. Training Links uses the DiSC assessment in the Successful Supervision class as a way to enhance self-knowledge and understanding of Supervisory competencies. It can also be used for other training needs such as Team Building, Interpersonal/Communication Skills and Coaching.
